Our Table Campaign Initiative
A Letter from Father Michael
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Week by week, God gathers us at Our Table – calling us by name, welcoming us as we are, and shaping us into the people we are becoming. Around the many tables we share, we come to be known, feel a sense of belonging, and then God sends us back into the world filled with grace. This has always been at the heart of who we are as a parish.
In this season, God has entrusted us with a remarkable moment. More people are coming here seeking community, healing, and a place to grow in faith. We give thanks for this blessing, and we recognize it as both a gift and a responsibility. To welcome well, to gather well, and to nourish well, we need to prepare space for the life God is bringing among us.
Our Table initiative is a unified generosity effort rooted in who we are and who God is calling us to become. Through this campaign we are addressing both our “Now” and our “Next.”
Our “Now” represents our annual mission budget—the daily bread that sustains our worship, funds our staff (including our new curate), nurtures God’s children of all ages, and powers our local outreach. Our “Next” represents our capital vision—expanding our parking lot, enlarging our parish hall and kitchen, and sharing our abundance beyond our walls.
A physical table is only as meaningful as the community gathered around it and the spiritual nourishment served upon it. By strengthening our daily ministry alongside our capital needs, we ensure that everyone who arrives here finds a place of welcome, grace, and transformation.
The Our Campaign Initiative brochure (link to .pdf) can be a resource to guide your prayers, reflection, and discernment over the coming weeks. In the pages that follow, you will discover how God has brought us to this moment, along with information about the work ahead, opportunities to pray and engage, and resources to help you discern how you are being called to respond. There is also some space for prayerful reflection, journaling, and listening for God’s leading. Generosity is rooted in trust, faithfulness, and gratitude.
I encourage you to approach this season with an open heart. Pray intentionally. Engage fully. Listen closely for the movement of the Spirit. Ask God how you might take your place at the table—and how, together, we can help set the table for those whom God is still calling home.
I am deeply grateful to walk this path with you. May God bless us in this season, drawing us ever more deeply into Christ’s love, and shaping us into a community where all may be known, belong, and become.
Faithfully,
The Rev. Michael L. Delk
Rector, St. Thomas à Becket Episcopal Church
Our History
Our parish began with a small community and a desire to worship God through traditional Episcopal liturgy. In 1979, we purchased a home on 11 acres with a 1,200-square-foot former Girl Scouts building. That room, now our Education Room, held worship, fellowship, and formation. A leap of faith led to our current worship space in 1994, and a generous memorial gift later made our parish hall possible.
Through seasons of growth and challenge, our parish has remained committed to God, to one another, and to open-armed hospitality. Outreach has become a defining part of our life, and several parishioners have answered calls to ordained ministry that bless the wider Church. Beginning in 2023, our parish grew by 40 percent over three years.
Godly Play Sunday School launched in 2025 as more families with children arrived. Our Table responds to this growth by sustaining our daily ministries and creating more room to welcome others.
